Test it on a real job before you commit [1]:
- List your workflow: intake, quote, research, field, drafting, invoice and archive.
- Trial with one completed job, entering real data from start to finish, to see where it fits and where it doesn't.
- Check integrations with accounting, email, maps, CAD, and field software or data collectors.
- Mobile use: can crews see schedules and job notes, and upload photos?
- Data ownership: exports, backups and what happens if you leave.
- Cost: per-user fees, setup, training and support.
- Support: response times and onboarding help.
Involve the people who will use it daily. A tool that looks great in a demo but slows crews down won't last.
